May Day

A host of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.  - William Wordsworth

On the first day of May the daffodils are just beginning to bloom in Dalhousie.

  1. They're almost finished in town, but out here mine haven't started yet. I'm not supposed to be envious, but yours are exquisite. I love the creamy white ones.

  2. Everything always seems to bloom quicker in town Carol.Although they have theirs earlier, it just means we can admire ours that much longer.

So many beautiful daffodils around these days. When I was a kid we only ever saw the solid yellow.

  3. Looks mighty springy to me, no denying it now! Might as well ask, I always do -- where are these located? Out front?
