I actually snapped these photos from the car.It's been years since we gathered sap and made syrup. When the kids were small we thought it would be a neat thing to show them. It's certainly a lot of work. FYI it takes 60 gallons of sap to make a gallon of maple syrup. Now that the kids are grown we buy our syrup from a friend who makes it. It's so much easier.
