I guess they can chew through some pretty big ones by the looks of this. Hubby says they will cut off the smaller limbs near the top of a big tree that they've downed. I guess maybe that makes sense now. There's usually a good explanation for everything.
Busy little blighter, wasn't he? We used to have beavers in the pond at the back of our property, but when the water level dropped one summer they departed for a better locale and haven't returned. The beaver house is still here, and each spring a goose nests on top of it!
They can do a lot of damage in a hurry. What? No photos of the beaver? :)
