Wile's Carding Mill, Bridgewater

Snow is so common that I have omitted to note its falling at least two days out of Three.
William Henry Ashley

With the new fallen snow in Bridgewater, I couldn't help but take a few photos of the old carding mill....Lovely!

There was a lot of water coming down over the dam.

Eagle Nest

“We are eagles of one nest - the nest is in our soul.”  Led Zeppelin

This nest is just outside Sobey's in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia at the top of a high pole. We saw one head moving about but couldn't get a good view. Not sure if eagles are occupying this nest or some other large bird.

Birds in Flight

The reason birds can fly and we can't is simply that they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.~~J.M. BARRIE,

Gulls flying along the beautiful Lahave River in Bridgewater.

I love trying to catch them in flight.

RCMP Musical Ride

A horse is the projection of peoples’ dreams about themselves – strong, powerful, beautiful – and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.~~Pam Brown

Friday and Saturday the RCMP Musical ride came to Bridgewater on their tour of the province. We had a great time. The weather even cooperated for the day.

Apple Blossoms

Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. ~~Henry Ward Beecher

The apple blossoms are not yet blooming in Dalhousie, but there were plenty of blossoms on the crab apple trees in Bridgewater today. Lots of bees buzzing around, too. The air was saturated with sweetness from the blossoms as the perfume wafted in the breeze.

Oh Deer!

“I ask people why they have deer heads on their walls. They always say because it's such a beautiful animal. There you go. I think my mother is attractive, but I have photographs of her.” ----Ellen DeGeneres

I shot these deer (with my camera) outside Bridgewater one night on our way back home to Dalhousie. There were eleven deer altogether nibbling away on the new spring grass.
