The quotation says it all! Wonderful photo, too. Our home is surrounded by evergreens, but only one pine that I planted about ten years ago. There are pines growing in abundance near our cabin, but none actually on our property, which is too bad, because I love pines. They grow with such awkward character (and their cones make great Christmas ornaments).
