Aren't those cones absolutely perfect? Lovely photos, Laura.
I collected a bunch of smaller cones... don't know what kind they were, but sprayed with adhesive and sprinkled lightly with clear glitter they made lovely Christmas tree ornaments. (We have two trees, one with all the collected ornaments of our family's lifetime, and the other is an outdoor theme with snowflakes, icicles, pinecones, birds, etc.)
Your trees sound lovely, Carol! I love cones for decorating, a nice natural look--as it should be. My daughter even makes owls out of different size cones. All one needs is a bit of imagination.
They're not huge big trees, if they were very tall I wouldn't have got such a clear shot of the cones. They're out back where Michelle parks her car, and more for ornamental than anything else, although I'm sure in time they will get very tall.
I think I read some place that you like cones. Might have been this blog.

ReplyDeleteNice ones! Are the trees big? I love cones (I'm sure you already know that!)
