Spring Flowers

The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.  ~Gertrude S. Wister

While these photos of crocuses were not taken here in Dalhousie they are simply too beautiful not to post. As Gertrude S. Wister remarked, they do occupy places in our hearts. What a welcomed sight after a long cold Nova Scotia winter!

  1. Pretty flowers! Is that a bit of ice I see in the bottom right hand corner of the second photo?

Old Man Winter still trying hard to hang on here, we got a bit of snow last night and some flurries today...

  2. Yes, they are beautiful. Ericka takes such lovely photos. I was so pleased when she sent these along.

I didn't notice that bit of white there, but I bet you're right! Oh what a keen eyes you have.

It's still chilly these days. I'll be glad when the warm weather comes to stay.
