In a Pink Mood

Moody and withdrawn, the lake unites a haunting loveliness to a raw desolateness. ~~ Dale Morgan

 


Evening approaches on Black Duck Lake. The remnants of winter watches from a distance. Ice dwindles a little day-by- day until it disappears from sight. Today, the ice is gone.

    For the life of me I can't recall ever seeing the lake look pink, but I'm sure it must have. I just wasn't paying attention. I could see it from the house when I stood on the doorstep. I thught it was quite pretty, too. Glad you liked the quote.
