Spring?

Winter lies too long in country towns; hangs on until it is stale and shabby, old and sullen.
- Willa Sibert Cather

Since the arrival of this early spring snowstorm we have been feeding the robins apples.

Winter is getting to be a bit old and shabby. Nothing this fresh snowfall can improve. What we need now is sunshine.

Poor robins. I'm sure they appreciate the lovely apples!

  2. LOL! Yes indeed , but that was a squirrel, remember?

The robins definitely like apples and I do feel bad for them to think that we're now covered in snow again. It must have been quite a shock to them.

I saw some Canada Geese in a snowy field yesterday. Poor buggers.
