Care less for your harvest than for how it is shared and your life will have meaning and your heart will have peace.

These cranberries were not found in a bog, but were growing alongside the ditch in a Christmas tree lot in the Forties Settlement. Having always thought that cranberries grew in bogs, it had only been the past ten years or so that I discovered the difference.
I've learned something... never knew they grew anywhere except in bogs! The contrast of colours are lovely in these shots. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought only in bogs also...Makes me think of the Ocean Spray commercial where they are standing in the water with cranberries floating all around them.
ReplyDelete@Carol--I'm not sure but I think these are a different variety than what would grow in a bog.
ReplyDelete@suziCate--I haven't seen that commercial, although I tend not to see very much television these days. What I did notice about these cranberries was their small size. Perhaps the area is not as wet as they like.
I've never seen cranberries in the wild, only on the commercial.
