This lady dragonfly was resting on a fir tree one morning in late September. Wings glistening in the early morning dew, she did not fly away but rested there as if preserving what bit of life she had left in her for another day.
@Carol--I love dragonflies. i often mention that as kids we called them Devil's Darning Needles. We thought if one stung you you'd die. I'm not sure who told us that one, I think perhaps some neighbour kids...
@Patti--I'm afraid this one was minding the cold morning and that was why she was sitting still.
